Ooh, very cool! I'd remove the grainy look of the grass, though, it's kind of visually distracting and doesn't blend as well into the image. Using it on the gravel was a good move though.
This is a very good image and it replicates that of a baseball card which is really cool. The only thing that I might add is that the grass should have more shadows or highlights on it.
The grass looks very realistic because the blades are literally separate and distinct. On the other hand, the very dark background seems to eat up the foreground for some reason (maybe because the uniform is also dark?). The gradients and home plate, however, are also very effective.
This course will develop & hone student's skills in working with image & text as they create solutions to a series of design problems. Visual literacy will be increased through exposure to contemporary design issues & graphic design history. Students will expand their proficiency in all aspects of the design process, including creative brainstorming, conceptualizing, critical thinking, collaboration & presentation. Students will create work by hand but predominantly in digital form with industry standard programs as in Adobe's Creative Suite.
